Even before we start any creative process we set up a discovery call.  This is a quick virtual meeting of 15-20 min.

We will talk about your brand/business, your vision, your social media and marketing goals, and your expectations in a very general way. We believe one of the most important ingredients to a fantastic business relationship is good communication, and one of the best ways we can achieve this it to learn what your expectations you may have ahead of time.

This is where the excitement starts!

After booking, the creative process always starts with our brand questionnaire.  This is an in-depth Q&A where we get to know you and your business, its history, the services and products you offer, what your ideal client looks like, and who your competitors are.

This extensive questionnaire not only familiarizes us with your business, but also serves as a focusing activity for you. Clients often tell us they have greater clarity and feel more focused after completing all the questions.

We use your responses to start creating a moodboard for your brand.

As we mentioned, ARTISTIK relationship with our clients is collaborative.  You will get some fun homework to complete that will help us further customize your brand.

Are you a Pinterest fan?  Good. If you’ve been gathering inspiration images on Pinterest, this is where we’ll put them to use.  We will create a private Pinterest board just for you, so you can share your ideas with us.

After you’ve completed your branding questionnaire and your Pinterest board, we’ll pull together a moodboard to make sure we understand your ideal look and feel.

If you are happy with the moodboard, we’ll start to put all the information gathered into a Brand Strategy.

We will provide you with guidance, tips, and suggestions for your branding.

Now we’ll start working on a few logo concepts. We generally send around three to five ideas for you to choose from.

These are rough and normally pretty far from the final design. We have to start somewhere right? This round lets you see where we could go and it helps us narrow down a single direction to focus on.

Once you’ve chosen a direction, we’ll start working on a few revisions based on your feedback. Most likely we’ll go through two additional rounds of revisions before we finalize the layout and illustrations in the logo.

Once the layout is finalized, we’ll explore other font options and then finally colour options.

Finally, we’ll bring your entire brand together with a few submarks (if they work for your brand), a colour palette, a font palette and alternate versions of your logo.

The branding design process typically takes 4-6 weeks.  It always depends of how many revisions we have to do (some people need only one, some people require three) and how fast you will get back to us with your feedback.

As we move on to the website, you have some homework to do.

First, you need to browse our ready-to-customize templates and select the one that you love the most.

Then, we need to prepare your final brand style guide, pull your fonts, brand colours, and compile your brand logos and marks into one place.

We’ll send over an outline to help you gather images and content in an organized manner. We know content gathering can be one of the toughest parts of putting together a website so we try to break it down into easy-to-digest parts.

Also, we will ask you to gather around 100 of your favourite images for us to use throughout your site.

At this point, you also need to write ALL your website copy.

Having everything already into one place, will make the process a lot easier and faster!

Once we have all your content, we’ll start working on the homepage design of your site.

We will input your brand elements + content into the homepage of your website and send it over for feedback.

Generally, once the homepage is done the rest of the site flows a bit faster, as the homepage determines the general look and feel of your design.

Once you’re happy with the homepage design, we’ll ask for the content for your About page and we’ll go through a similar process as we did for the homepage with one revision per each page.

Depending on how quickly you send us feedback, this part of the process typically takes about a month.

Once the pages on your site are built, we’ll move your design to your account for final testing. The actual launch will look a little different depending on your platform, but we’ll make sure all of your blog posts are migrated from your current site and that your site is thoroughly tested before your official launch.

While you can always come back to us for updates, we’ll send over videos to teach you how to update each section of your site. We’ll also add you to our private Facebook Community to make sure you stay up to date on all things web.
